My Reiki Second Degree courses are normally run on a
bi-monthly cycle in Chiswick, West London. Here's what you can expect:
My students benefit from small class sizes, with a maximum of 4 students on a course.
Working through the Reiki Second Degree Manual, Okuden, and accompanying MP3s forms part of your pre-course study, meaning that you can learn at your own pace and won't need to make notes on the day.
Listening to the Reiki Meditation tracks, part of your pre-course study pack, will enable you to carry out the meditations with ease (no peeping at instruction pages, simply get comfy and listen.)
One day live course with me, Louise, mainly doing practical energy work. My students frequently comment on what a relaxed, fun and inspiring day they have had.
Reiki Second Degree Certificate on completion of the course.
Membership of our online discussion forum for those with the same Reiki training as yourself. It currently has over 1600 members.

Overview and Pre-Course Home Study Pack
Reiki Second Degree, or "Okuden" is the second stage of your journey of discovery with Reiki. It comprises of a one day live course with Reiki Master / Teacher Louise Heseltine, which enables you to use Reiki not just for yourself, friends and family, but it is also the recognised level for those wishing to practice Reiki as a complementary therapy and charge for their services.
You will be sent your Pre Course Multi-media Study Pack through the post. This includes a 110 page "Okuden" instruction manual, fully illustrated, and a CD which accompanies the Okuden manual and provides a commentary for the main parts of the course. The pre course element takes about 9 hours to complete but some people prefer to spend longer digesting the information and practicing the techniques.

The original system of Reiki as taught by its founder and how we can use this in the modern world
How to benefit from the energies of earth ki and heavenly ki
Experiencing a state of oneness and how this can be used to carry out distant healing
Using earth ki and heavenly ki to treat others
Developing intuitive working
Ways to direct energy using pure intention
Reiki symbols; how to draw them and say their names
Reiki Second Degree - The In-Person, One Day Course
The LIVE COURSE is a one day course which takes you through everything you have been studying but is mainly about PUTTING IN TO PRACTICE what you have learned:
SECOND DEGREE REIKI CONNECTIONS
On the day of the live course you will receive 3 special connection rituals called Reiju Empowerments. These are a simple, yet powerful way to open up the channels through which Reiki flows and will connect you at a deeper level than that received during your First Degree course. They are equivalent to 'Western-style' Reiki Attunements, but most people find them to be a deeper experience.
SELF HEALING AND SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
In the morning of your course we will be working with two important energies, described as earth ki and heavenly ki in the original system. These two energies can be accessed using Reiki symbols, which we will focus on in detail, and there will be time to experience fully the flavour of each energy through meditation, treatments and discussion. These two energies help us to address different aspects of healing work on the energy system.
INTENSIFYING YOUR REIKI TREATMENTS
Working with the symbols also has the effect of intensifying the energy being channelled, allowing a more powerful and deeper level of Reiki to flow.
DISTANT HEALING
Our approach to distant healing is founded on the principle of oneness. Within Reiki, this state can be achieved usually through the use of a Reiki symbol, enabling us to form a strong connection with the recipient of the distant healing energy and allowing energy to flow to them as needed. There are a number of way to send distant healing and we will cover these during the live course.
THE POWER OF INTUITION AND INTENT
Second Degree should enable the Reiki practitioner to develop their intuitive abilities, applying them in practical ways to help make a bespoke Reiki treatment for the recipient of the energy. Each of us has innate intuitive abilities which can be enhanced and refined with practice. In the same way that some people are more visual, aural or kinaesthetic in everyday life, the intuitive system of each of us has different strengths too, and working to discover how your own intuitive language can flow through to you is an exciting journey. Working with Reiki can enhance this development.
When working with Reiki, intention is a powerful tool which can be used to manage the flow and intensity of Reiki energy, so we spend time exploring this concept together during the afternoon.
Requirements before you begin?
This is the Second Degree level of Reiki, therefore you must have completed Reiki First Degree before being considered for this course. If you took your First Degree course elsewhere, we would not expect you to redo your First Degree with us, but what we will do is to send you a free download of our First Degree course materials, the course manual and audio CD, as a PDF and MP3 files, so that you can see exactly what we teach at this level. We will also set you some 'homework' to do so that you have been through the same practical exercises as our other First Degree students, so you don't miss out.
